Topics

  • Transitioning from part time to full time coach
    • It can be a true leap of faith to go full time, but it doesn’t have to be. There are some markers that must be hit and some boxes that absolutely need to be checked before you quit your day job.  I have done it. I transitioned from a being a full time police officer to a full time coach and lived to tell the tale. Let me help you avoid the pitfalls in the road.
  • Strategic partnerships
    • We are not talking about sponsorships, those are a thing of the past.  How do you make the choice of who to align with and who to avoid?  Todays market requires more than a logo on a jersey, there needs to be a defined ROI (return on investment) for companies to partner with you.  How do you find them and how do you land them?
  • Camps
    • Camps can be a lucrative and fun filled way to grow your business.  Not all of them are successful and the poorly planned ones can end up being a waste of your time and money.  I have designed and executed camps across the US for some of the biggest names in the sport as well as for USA Triathlon.  Find the balance between too much and not enough on the daily schedule as well as how to market and fill them.
  • Level 3
    • A level 3 certification is a ring most think about reaching for at some point in their coaching career.  Is it for you? Is it worth the work? Do you really need it?  How can you plan a strategic path towards becoming accepted and ultimately certified as a level 3 coach.
  • Public speaking
    • The longer you are coach, the more you have to share. There is a difference between leading a group ride and speaking to an auditorium of your peers.  It’s a scary path and even the best of us sweat a little still. Become a strong public speaker and you open up many doors of opportunity and revenue down the road.
  • Assistant coaches
    • Growing your business means bringing in help and sharing the load. How do you choose the right people to represent you? How do you manage them, foster and support them? If done wrong they will bleed you dry and open you up to a wide range of liabilities.  I will show you how to create a better process to find and keep the best assistants for your business.
